Biography


Lindsey Malin (nee Lindsey Macfarlane) was born in 1948 in North London and brought up in Beckenham and Surrey. After leaving school at eighteen she worked in an architect’s office and with picture framing company in London. As a mature student she spent two years at Lincoln School of Art studying the Conservation of Crafts, and then in 1979 started working as a Museum Assistant at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, becoming Assistant Curator of Pictures, and Picture Librarian before taking early retirement in 1999. In the early 90’s she gained a University of London Diploma in the History of Art after four years part time study. In 2001 she married Dr Stuart Malin, also retired, and now lives with him in Blackheath, South East London.
